Don't give up. Your first draft is exactly that, the first draft. Keep editing and polishing until you're satisfied the book is as good as you can make it, then make sure you send it to the right publisher or have it edited before you send it for self publishing.

How do I turn off the inspiration would be the correct question. Plots arrive in my head from the strangest places: names of boats; partially overheard conversations. Anything that happens is an inspiration, it really depends on whether I can make it work as a book.

My most recent is a Middle Grade book which I hope to publish in February 2017. It's the first of a series and is called Fury's Ghost. Got the idea from seeing an old ghostly looking house.
