Rebecca Boxall Hi Scott, thanks for your message. I’m really sorry but this one isn’t available as an audiobook at present. Best, Rebecca
Rebecca Boxall Both Christmas at the Vicarage and the book I'm currently working on were inspired by my parents and my upbringing in a rural Vicarage. I think there's a general image of vicars being rather stuffy and boring, but my Dad was the very opposite and it's good to be able to give a fresh perspective on Vicarage life.
Rebecca Boxall I'm writing my second book - a story about a young vicar and his girlfriend who move to a new parish for a fresh start only to discover the Vicarage is haunted...
Rebecca Boxall Originally I was inspired to write by my favourite writer, Rosamunde Pilcher. I also wanted my late father's spirit to be encapsulated in a character and I hope I achieved that with Bernie in Christmas at the Vicarage. But so many things inspire me on a day to day basis and I find my subconcious beavering away, coming up with ideas, which suddenly come to mind when I'm driving along in the car or taking a walk.
Rebecca Boxall I give myself a break, sometimes quite a long one. A bit of distance works wonders.
Rebecca Boxall Get the first draft written! Once that's done you can tinker till your heart's content. Also, I find a chapter planner really useful.
Rebecca Boxall Creating a whole other world in your imagination, where you have control over the characters, the storyline, everything! Hours can pass where you're living in a parallel universe. I love it. Also, when you find out someone enjoyed reading your book. That's the best.
