Thanks for your question, Caitlyn. While this is only a duology, I may well write more stories set in this world in the future. I do love Asiana quite a lot.
I have been thinking and working on other novels, but there is often quite a long gap between idea, execution, and publication. I will be sure to post here when I have any news.
Happy Reading!

Write, revise, get it beta-read by someone who is not your mother, revise, edit/polish, submit to suitable market, repeat. Work on more than one project at a time. Don't let rejection break your heart. Find your writing family.
Above all, write what you truly want to, and only if you find joy and satisfaction in the process.

I am currently working on my sequel to "Markswoman" - and I'm loving it. :-)

I can't NOT write. Just as I can't not breathe. I don't need any more inspiration - what I need is a device to stop time so I can write peacefully for hours at a stretch without having to stop to do boring stuff.
Of course, walks in the park are very helpful in getting rid of mental clutter and focusing on a particular problem in my WIP. And deadlines always galvanize me into action.
I still want that time-stopping device, though.

Glad you asked! I just finished Ninefox Gambit (The Machineries of Empire #1) by Yoon Ha Lee, and next up is definitely the sequel, Raven Stratagem.
I'm currently reading The Obelisk Gate (The Broken Earth Book 2) by N.K. Jemisin, which is fantastic. The last book in the trilogy will be out in August, so I'm looking forward to that.
For lighter fare, I'm going middle-grade this summer, with the 5-book series "The Chronicles of Prydain", and a retelling of the Persian epic poem "The Shahnameh". Something to share with the kids!
I'm also reading this fat, heavy, illustrated book called "Medieval Warfare" as well as "The Art of War" by the ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu. Why, you may ask? Research purposes, I answer. To write effectively about battles, one must read about how they were fought.
