Hello, Sofia. I've been working about another YA novel about love and travel in exotic places. It's a reimagining of Jane Austen's PERSUASION, set on a high school study tour to Greece. So while the new book isn't a second LOVE, LUCY, it's closely related.

Hi, Sofia. I have another book in progress. It doesn't have a title yet, but it's a retelling of Jane Austen's Persuasion set on a prep school class trip to Greece.

I think he'd sound a lot like this guy, the wonderful Butch Walker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwjbD...

Since all my novels so far have been inspired by classic novels--Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, A Room With a View, and, most recently, Persuasion--when I'm stuck and feeling uninspired, all I have to do is crack open the book I'm using as inspiration to any page. Rereading those words that started me on a project in the first place will almost always get me rolling again. Of course, coffee helps. And long drives. And live music.

Hello! I'm sorry you're having trouble finding Jane in print. Because my publisher, Hachette, is having contractual disputes with Amazon, my books are a little harder to get via Amazon these days. Jane is available here, though: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/jane-....

Well, I'm an enormous Bruce Springsteen fan. I was picturing a younger Bruce when I was writing about Nico. But I like it when people tell me which rock stars they were thinking about when they read Jane.

Catherine is a retelling of Wuthering Heights--part romance, part mystery. But you don't have to be familiar with Wuthering Heights to enjoy Catherine.

I love retellings of my favorite classic novels; I can't seem to get enough of them. Trying to write one seemed like the natural next step, and once I'd written one, I was hooked.

LOVE, LUCY (due out in January) is about American backpackers in Italy. I've been wanting to write a novel about backpacking through Europe ever since the first time I tried it myself, when I was 22. I travelled solo and had plenty of adventures and misadventures--some of them life changing.
