Will there be more books to the series?
Ellen Herrick Yes, ish. Third book seems to be about the next generation of Sparrows. Wish me luck!

I loved reading both your books about the sparrow sisters i did read them in the wrong order but i loved them just the same. Looking forward to more of your books. Where do you get your info on the town you wrote about?
Ellen Herrick Hi Angela, thanks for reading my books. I'm so glad you enjoyed them. Granite Point is an imaginary town based on lots of old Cape Cod fishing villages. I live in one of them so I look around and pretend!

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Ellen Herrick Oh Boy: Narnia, Hogwarts, the town in Practical Magic, the house in Five Children and It....Are you getting a theme here? I am both nostalgic for a past that doesn't exist for me (or anyone probably), and desperate to believe in magic. So, once in any of these spots I would learn, learn, learn and then I would never leave.

I loved The Sparrow Sisters. I also enjoyed Sorrel's adventure in The Forbidden Garden, but I was a bit disappointed with the ending. I kept swiping my device (e-book) thinking I missed a page or two. I guess I was hoping for more information about Sorrel & Andrew and where they end up together... ??? Will there be another book?
Ellen Herrick Hi Cindy, there is a third book in the works...Nettie and Ben's story. But, rest assured, Andrew and Sorrel and Henry and Patience will all be there to help tell that story. I hope that lessens your disappointment a bit? xoxo

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Ellen Herrick Pretending! I can pretend to be anyone, anywhere, any time! And I get to tell the stories I'd like to read.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Ellen Herrick Sorrel Sparrow, the oldest of the Sparrow sisters, seemed to be sort of the grown up of the three and I though she deserved her own story, and some adventure! Then I began to think about other enchanted gardens I have known and I was terribly homesick for England so I sent Sorrel off to Wiltshire!!

How do you get inspired to write?
Ellen Herrick First, I'm always reading and second, I listen to music. Both my books have playlists that I developed while writing. I can't write without music!

Ellen Herrick Nettie Sparrow, the middle Sparrow sister, has a story to tell!

Ellen Herrick Well, when my mother died she left me with the key to her safe deposit box. She didn't leave it for my father...

Ellen Herrick A nap, which does absolutely nothing for the writing but has all sorts of benefits for my lazy, cozy self.

Ellen Herrick Oh Boy. Well can I just say that the seaside town of Granite Point has lots of stories yet to tell. The Sparrow Sisters aren't the only residents with a little magic in their hearts. And Sorrel, maybe she really does deserve an adventure?
