Many thanks for your question and your comments - much appreciated. My desire to write crime fiction came out of a love for the genre and the Italian aspect from my appreciation of all things Italian. I have learned a good deal more about Italian culture, the lifestyle and the people through my research for the books.

My crime novels have a very strong Italian influence. The third part of the Alicia Allen Investigates trilogy, Murder in Hand, is the most Italian of them all. I had been to Sicily and was reading an article about corruption and intrigue. One of the comments made in the article was that this would make the basis for a great crime story and that's what I thought too!
