Since one of my all-time favorite novels is 'Wuthering Heights,' I would travel to the moorland farmhouse and try my best to change the outcome of the story by thwarting Heathcliff's departure and filling him in on what he didn't overhear Catherine say. ( Heathcliff overhears Catherine tell Nelly it would "degrade" her to marry him--but not how much she loves him--and he runs away and disappears without a trace. Distraught over Heathcliff's departure, Catherine makes herself ill.

As one of my Indie-Helping-Indie goals is to read and review as many books as I can written by an Indie author, I have a slew of books in my TBR pile. However, before the onset of summer, I will be reading the ARC for Miranda Brock's upcoming novel, 'Souls Asunder'.

More than a mystery, I'll call it a "marvel," which I doubt would fit into the plot for a book, although I could certainly draw from it. That marvel pertains to the strength I didn't know I had practically single-handedly preparing my mother's move to her new residence. When I think back to everything that had to be sorted, transported, and arranged--I'm amazed I pulled it off.

That would be my book in production, 'An Enlightening Quiche': it was a combination of unrelated entities unto themselves--my quiche recipe, summer employment at a bookbinding factory during college, the charm of the predominantly French-Canadian community where I taught school. Then, my imagination took over to fabricate a story incorporating, but certainly not limited to these catalysts.
