I wrote Doris and the Ankh as a gift to my daughter. At the time she was into an adventure book series about talking cats. So I made almost all my animals and creatures talk. It's very Wizard of Oz-ish like that. It was fun to write. And she loved it. She devoured the book over the next few days. I never felt so good knowing she wouldn't come out of her room.
