M.L.S. Weech I'm actually pretty loyal to my TBR. I'm working my way through Lenders right now. I'm most excited to read The Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson, but who isn't?
M.L.S. Weech I don't get writer's block so much as writer's (as in Writer is) lazy. The most important time to write is when you don't feel like writing. It's like weight training. Some days, your body just doesn't feel it. It's okay. You can still do a bit (outlining, brainstorming, revising). Try finding something else to work on. Sometimes, stepping away from one project to work on another will shake a few idle thoughts loose.
M.L.S. Weech Seeing someone read your book. Hands down. It's okay if they hate it. It's great if they love it. But just seeing people look at something I've created is surreal.
M.L.S. Weech Find something to write about and write about it. Don't let anything become an excuse. Read, write, dream and hope. Writing is more about determination than talent. I found my best strength when I determined to write 1,000 words a day. So pick a goal. I don't care what it is. But meet your goal every week/day/month and, sooner or later, you'll have a book.
M.L.S. Weech I'm working on three projects:

I'm revising the next book I intend to release. It's called Caught. It's about a group of people who are trapped in a series of night terrors.

I'm outlining my seventh book called Perception of War. It's a Sci-fi/Fantasy blend about a young photographer who finds himself aboard a special forces ship in the early post FTL generation.

I'm re-reading my sixth book New Utopia, about a man who is trying to determine what imminent malfunction is about to befall the city in the sky his people live on.

So I'm pretty busy.
M.L.S. Weech I wake up in the morning? Honestly, I love to write. I usually have a series of images in my mind, and when the come together, I start working on the project. My biggest inspiration is probably just talking with people about cool stuff. My goal is to take every "wouldn't it be cool if" and turn it into a book.
M.L.S. Weech Watching my dad play with the family dog. There's other stuff, but the thing I wanted to do was find a way to preserve that friendship.
