Sarah Daley Ugh. Seriously. I get writer's block most often when I try to force myself to get one project done. That's why I've got 3 in the works. When switching projects doesn't help, reading is my magic key to get me back in the game. There is nothing quite like a good book to release all those wonderful creative ideas!
Sarah Daley For me it's the escape. I've been an avid reader since my first Hooked on Phonics lesson, and my favorite part of a good book is the departure from reality. Escaping all the stresses and frustrations that bring me down. I get that same escape when I'm working on one of my books!
Sarah Daley ALWAYS keep moving forwards. If ideas pop up on something you need to fix in the beginning of your book, make a note and then keep writing as if you've already made that change. Don't look back! Just keep pushing on! Getting that first draft done is so tough, but once it's done then you can move onto the polishing.
Sarah Daley Currently I have several projects I'm working on. Destined is an LDS perspective historical fiction, that I hope to return to a potential publisher soon, Fighting Shelly will be the first full length novel in the Salmon River Series (Drowning Sandy is the prequel), and I'm also working on Junking Jillene which will be the 2nd book in the series.
Sarah Daley I get inspiration everywhere! Ideas for books come from my dreams, from things my four year old comes up with, or from stories my grandparents tell me.
Sarah Daley Growing up next to Lake Ontario, one of my favorite things to do was to go out with my family on our small boat. I never really enjoyed fishing, but I'd often stare down into the water and imagine all sorts of wonderful stories.
