Why Lady and the Tramp, of course.
Abby and I, both, agree!
Tramp was one of the first to show us a dog can be adopted from the streets.
A great lesson for kids to learn to adopt.

I felt if the animals told the children it was great to be spayed and neutered,
I hoped this would mean more to them.
I also included dumping issues and the importance of micro-chipping your pet into the plot. This book is based on a true story of our dog Abigail, whom I found. She had been dumped and had a litter of puppies earlier that day.
It is the story of her making a life in our home. It is told mostly from her perspective.

I have finished two new manuscripts, and I'm just about to begin painting the illustrations for one of them.
I'm keeping them a surprise for awhile longer!

I would say "Listen to your voice," but also ask a few people you can trust to give you honest and the most important thing knowledgeable opinion, for feed back.
If you cannot use honest well meant critique, then you don't want to write for the public. You will be a better writer if you can take suggestions. You don't have to change it to what they are saying, but you need to be willing to change some things.

Being able to work on a manuscript any time of the day is great. I'm a night owl,
so Monsieur Monet(one of our cats) sits with me. He is very helpful. Anyway,
we can work late if we wish. Morisot, another cat, also assists. As you can tell they are both named after two impressionists.
Time melts away when I working because I love it so. That's another "best thing" about writing. I love it!

I just put down what I'm working on and do something else. Go for a walk, paint, watch a movie. I am a BIG movie buff especially classics.
