C. Andrew Doyle Small Batch is my most recent book. It comes from the book CHURCH. After finishing CHURCH people wanted examples of small Christian communities in the denominational church. I wrote Small Batch to tell the story of emerging Christian communities that are local, organic, and sustainable. You can find the book here:

C. Andrew Doyle I read a lot. I read books not associated with the church and religion. This creates a conversation in my head. I also spend a lot of time listening and engaging in conversations.
C. Andrew Doyle I am finishing a book that ponders how we read the scripture through the lens of the church institution.

Here is an excerpt:

Yet at the same time we the people who follow Jesus remain imprisoned by the structures of church we have thought were our sanctuary. We have pledged our loyalty to buildings and structures instead of Jesus. And, we have been peddling an idea that many of us today believe, a false truth, a Matrix, that what the churches and our people do on Sunday morning for an hour fulfills our covenant with God. That is the sinful deception at work.
C. Andrew Doyle Write. Write on blogs. Write in journals. Write on paper. File away ideas electronically or in a paper file. Spend time with other artists and writers and ask them what projects they are creating. Write. Write. Write.
C. Andrew Doyle I enjoy the engagement with readers about those things they find interesting and to hear where their vocation is taking them.
C. Andrew Doyle I normally put the manuscript down and then read a bit around the edges of the topic. I allow my mind to wander and wonder while looking for the next trail to meander down.
