Puja Upadhyay I have been blogging since 2005. Some short stories that I wrote on my hindi blog, laharein got a favourable response from my readers. Their positive feedback and encouragement led to more stories and different plots.

The book started as a collection of stories first written on blog and then I added more stories to the list.

And then edit and throw away stuff. But never edit in your head, before a story is even born on paper.

To have the freedom to live many different lives while writing each story.
Puja Upadhyay Mostly through a change of scene. Short or long time. For the quick fix, I take out my two-wheeler and go for a ride.
I have a particular playlist of instrumental songs that always triggers my mood and pen and then start writing. I also shift from writing on my Macbook to writing on actual pen and paper.
For the longer spells, I read, always. Getting lost into a new book brings in a crossfade of new visuals. Reading helps me in the long term.
