I am currently working on Consorting with the Shadow: Phantasms and the Dark Side of Female Consciousness, a collection of essays (and perhaps a few short stories) about women and horror archetypes in literature and film.

Cathy and Heathcliff would be my favorite fictional couple. I love their wildness and their passion. Cathy, unlike some fictional heroines, is as fierce and indomitable as Heathcliff, and Heathcliff sees her as his equal, his soulmate, the other half of his being.

Having finished Revenance, I wanted to expand upon the themes of vampirism, addiction, and visionary/hallucinogenic experiences, so I decided to write a sequel that would further explore parasitic diseases such as Toxoplasmosis that induce bizarre psychological symptoms. Cats, often associated with the paranormal and the mystical, worshipped, feared, and venerated, are linked in the sequel to the vampire's mythic allure.
