Deepak Agrawal I wanted to write love prose that is earnest and clear in its intent to communicate; therefore, I put down my ideas, in some cases, as bluntly as I could, about the chaos that encompasses us and the strangeness of desire. I wrote about love and survival, how these ideals are intertwined yet at odds with each other. Life’s journey is definitely not a straight line for sure~ there are some detours, some necessary and some totally self-inflicted. Therefore, the woman in the story needs to be allowed leeway for being fallible and human.
Deepak Agrawal The journey of making this manuscript whole and making a collection of thought fragments assimilate into a single story started around a year ago when the whole world was succumbing to breathe past the infirmity cast by the onset of the pandemic. I started discussing my ideas with a handful of people sailing in the same boat as me- marred by the outbreak of the pandemic away from their families. These retrospections became a topic of several dinner or coffee table conversations. From sharing stories of long lost childhood to hearing out the experiences of pain over college break-ups, we tried to assimilate the perspective of women as to the fundamental existential issues they face in society directly from them and the men who chose to speak of their experiences
