Jack R. Ernest Hi Joseph

That is correct. Jordan Peterson would be more right leaning, whilst i would be more left leaning. However there are some things i would concur with him on. But generally, overall, our philosophies would be like oil and water. He asserts the reason one is not happy is because they are not married with the family unit. In contrast, i would assert that people are not happy because they are married with the family unit.

But other things i would agree with him on. I recall him remarking that marriage is not designed to make one happy, but to make one have children, which i agree with. But in general, like you attest, our philosophies would clash.

Regards, Nietzsche and the Overman, i must confess i my knowledge is limited in that regard. My books would be more influenced by existential psychologists such as Rollo May and Irvin Yalom. My books are also more directed towards sociology and social psychology, rather than philosophy.

Hope this helps and thanks for the reviews.

Jack R. Ernest Hi Joseph

Sorry i only saw this now as i dont check my email account that much.
That was my first book. I had been thinking about it for perhaps three years in my head before i got around to actually writing it.

With regards the concepts in my non fiction books, i do a lot of reading and thinking to myself. I especially read a lot of sociology and social psychology and then try to put an existential slant on them.

I must say though that i find my later books such as Remarks on Existential Nihilism and Remarks on Existential Sociology much better.

Thanks for the ratings as well

regards

Jack R. Ernest From a therapeutic point of view, they overlap. Yalom's existential therapy would share themes with Absurdism and Buddhism. My own view is that nihilism can also be therapeutic, especially with regards overcoming the inherent narcissism that pervades modern day society.
Jack R. Ernest With Remarks On Existentialism: Boredom, Anxiety and Freedom i felt i had not fully analysed my philosophy and so i set about enhancing it through Remarks On Existentialism: The Will to Conform
Jack R. Ernest Solitude is my wife and writing is my mistress. I enjoy writing and that is what inspires me.
Jack R. Ernest I am currently writing a novella. I am also currently working on notes about psychiatric illness
Jack R. Ernest Write about what is close to your heart. Try to be yourself. Dont try to be the next Ernest Hemingway or whoever.
Jack R. Ernest The loneliness and the freedom that you are in complete control of your work.
Jack R. Ernest One has to relax their mind to be at their best. Viktor Frankl said that success is like happiness in that the more one tries to succeed, the less they actually do. So the more a writer tries to come up with ideas consciously, the less ideas he will come up with.
