Even though I write more paranormal with a bit of magic in it and I don't write about Merlin or the magical world he lived in (yet :) ) if I had an opportunity to walk in his world and converse with him I'd be elated. Wouldn't it be great to sit and chat with the master magician himself and discover what it was like to be him? What was it like growing up? Did he have his abilities since birth or did he have to learn and develop them? Every storyteller has a different version. I'd like to hear it from the master himself. How was it to intermingle with the mundane world? What about when he was an adult? Did he enjoy being a magician at the beck and call of his king or was it forced upon him through fate. Did he harbor a secret wish to be "normal"? Did he have a love and have children? What was he like to live with? I'd love some answers as well as some magic lessons... Fabulous!

I'm knee deep in writing an historical western titled, "Paper Widow" with my pen name of Ailene Frances and am also teaching a writing class over the summer at the local community college so I really don't have anything set aside to read. If I do get the opportunity, I'll be sure to post the title.

There is speculation as to the genetics of some of my ancestors. It could make a great plot!

For the fiction I write, it's a tough question because I fall in love, befriend, and become fiercely protective of my characters; especially when I'm writing their stories. I'm presently writing the sequel to "Vampire Witch" [ titled "Vampire Queen"] so I'm totally wrapped up and involved with the life experiences and love trials Casey is going through because of her love for both Geo and Luthias. If I'm forced to choose between Luthias and Geo... it would be difficult, but I'd have to say I'd choose Luthias by the tiniest margin. Is Luthias who Casey will finally choose to be with? Well, I can't say that... Casey has a mind of her own. We'll just have to see if she has the same tastes and views as I do :)

I love vampire novels, movies, etc. I find them romantic creatures so it was easy for me to write about them. Since I'm a professional psychic it's also easy for me to come up with ideas for paranormal activity within the structure of the story.

I wrote my first novel at the age of twelve. I've always wanted to write and enjoyed writing. I didn't find the courage to start submitting my work for scrutiny by publishers and agents until recently.

A dystopian novel with (you guessed it) vampires :)

Never, never, never give up. It's important to remember that the literary world is a subjective world. Rejection is just a part of the process when finding a publisher and readers. There's going to be the right and perfect publisher with a suitable audience for your work. You just have to be persistent in finding it. Even once you're published it doesn't mean that everyone who reads your work will love it. We hope that's the case but we have to be realistic as well. In the mean time, keep practicing your art and write something every day!

It allows me to set my creative and imaginative juices free to flow at will.

I step away from my writing for a bit and try after I feel refreshed from focusing on something else.
