Hey John, I don't know if you remember me or not from that email from a year ago using a Tabbyvirus email but I was wondering if you're still working on that book about the main character (haven't read the books in a while) in the YA series and Charissa?
John Triptych Hi, Levi. Are you referring to the Wrath of the Old Gods series? Well I do have ideas for more books on them, but my other series is currently selling much better at this moment. Perhaps in the future!

Just read Pagan Apocalypse. Does Charissa ever play a bigger part in the story? During the later books I mean?
John Triptych Hi Martyn!

Charissa (as well as her father) appears in a cameo part in Book 2 of the main series (Canticum Tenebris). She has a short scene in it, but is very pivotal to the main plot! The main character of the Young Adult series will also be in Book 3 (A World Darkly).

For the YA series, yes- I do have plans to bring her back in the upcoming books too.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
John Triptych I get my ideas from pretty much everything. My brain is like a sponge, it absorbs everything it experiences and finds its way to my stories, so my mind is in constant motion.

How do you get inspired to write?
John Triptych I've always wanted to be a writer. I love books and I feel that I have some talent that enables me to write my own. It's both a challenge and an achievement for me.

What are you currently working on?
John Triptych An epic post-apocalyptic trilogy. I can't tell you anything else at this point.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
John Triptych Robert Heinlein said it perfectly: you must write and you must finish what you write.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
John Triptych You create your own world. When somebody writes a story they create their own little universe, a time and place of endless possibilities limited only by their imagination.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
John Triptych Commit to writing regardless of how you feel. Set a time to yourself and don't get off that chair until you've written at least 2000 words.
