I am interested in finding a good book for my 11-year-old niece's birthday and came across Dust Bowl Girls, which looks to be a wonderful book. I can't find anything about the reading level. She's a strong reader. Could she handle this book? Thank you.

Lydia Reeder While I wrote Dust Bowl Girls for adults, it is considered to be a YA crossover book. That group would be slightly older than 11 years, but if your niece is a strong reader and likes sports/adventure books, it would definitely work. One of the main characters is 16 years old, and most of the rest of the players are about 18. Happy reading!

Lydia Reeder My idea for writing Dust Bowl Girls came from my Mother who is turning 90 years young this month! Happy Birthday Mom!
