I'm one of those people who can have fun no matter what they're doing whether it's standing in line at the grocery store or doggy poop duty, so I don't really have a dream vacation as long as I'm with my wonderful husband.

There was no question...it's a quirk of the system. Goodreads wouldn't let me submit the comment unless i turned it into a question, that's all (I have no idea why!) I get this when I try to submit this without a ? at the end: "Sorry, your question needs to contain a question mark." so, here you go, Goodreads= ?

Yup, my mother thought she was clever too. Hence Joed pronounced "Jody." And I thought I was the only one. Oh, this is a question section. . . Did therapy ever play a part or did you cope on mental will alone?
KayeC Jones You're certainly not the only one! But at least our names are conversation pieces.

Unless you consider food therapy, I've never been through any. It helps I have a husband who's as crazy as I am!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
KayeC Jones I step away even if for only a moment and get some fresh air. Take a walk or eat something. (Does that count as emotional eating...?)

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
KayeC Jones Watching someone read your work for the first time, watching their expressions and reactions.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
KayeC Jones Keep working and reading. Even the bad day writing is better than no writing and it still counts as experience. Never stop learning.

What are you currently working on?
KayeC Jones A children's book about a boy who makes an unusual friend. Bright colors and inky illustration. I think it's going to be very cool.

How do you get inspired to write?
KayeC Jones Inspiration can come from anywhere: textures, books, commercials, people watching... But I can't go looking for it otherwise it won't show. I have to relax and have fun. What's the point of making a children's book that isn't fun?

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
KayeC Jones For Kitty Conquers the Big Bully, I wanted to make a book for little girls to show them how you can be strong. Little girls don't have great role models right now and they're bombarded with what people think women should look like and how they should act. Girls should know they can do anything they want if they put their minds to it.
