I saw a ghost once. In the Smugglers Inn, in Scarborough, I saw a figure in black rise up in the mirror behind me…if I was writing a book inspired by own life, I’d write about that - the fear, the shadows, the atmosphere - the fact that no-one else saw anything - and what happened to her (I’m sure it was a woman) and why she haunts it.

I hope so. It’s certainly written, but there will be probably be a change of publisher, and of course over the last year so much as been put on hold. But there are plans for three more books, creating a series of five

Do something else. Write something else for a while - of hag doesn’t work, take a day off. Watch a movie, go to the beach. Just let my mind work on it while I’m doing something else
