Do you create sockpuppets (or pay some other site to create them) in order to bestow 5-star ratings on your book? Because your book has some suspicious 5-star ratings, and has been voted onto dozens of listopias by two of these "people."
Erin Kinsella I can legitimately say that I haven't paid anyone or asked anyone to give the book a higher rating than it deserves. I can't speak for my friends who have read it or anyone that has seen the book through other marketing.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Erin Kinsella Just keep writing. If you have a story to tell, write it, no matter what anyone tells you. It doesn't matter to me if the book is popular or sells millions, I'm going to keep writing, regardless of that fact because it's something I love to do. If you love to write, do it for yourself and not for anyone else.

How do you get inspired to write?
Erin Kinsella I read a lot, and I love history. Usually if I read about something or someone interesting I will try to find a book on it, and if there's not one that features what I want to know, or it doesn't answer my questions, then I start thinking about how I would tell that story.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Erin Kinsella It was from an assignment I got in Classics 102, we had to write an interview with someone from mythology and I chose Hera. I re-examined the circumstances surrounding her actions in the myths where she features and tried to dig into what the real motivations were. This gave me the idea to look at Greek Mythology from a new angle, which led to Hades and Persephone

What are you currently working on?
Erin Kinsella Primarily the next installment of Olympian Confessions, but I also have another mythology book, one historical fiction and two general fiction manuscripts I'm working on

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Erin Kinsella I always have multiple projects on the go so if I get writer's block for one of them I tend to start work on another. If I have writer's block for all the projects, then I simply take a break from writing and will research to get more information so I have new angles to work with
