Great question! I would only change to have more YA readers - the book has as its main character an inspiring YA role model: Mica

Everyone has a mystery locked tightly in their heart. The goal of a writer is to find the universality of the question and to strive to give the answer. I have had numerous obstacles and conflicts in my childhood. But as I was growing up, I realized that I would be responsible for my own life and I had to overcome the difficulties. To survive was my need; happiness was my goal. And so I wrote what was in my heart to help me. Literature became a catharsis and writing a vehicle. The product was Book one of Transylvanian Trilogy: Gift of Diamonds. I hope a reader will find this common link to all of us: What gives peace to the human soul?

I take a glass of wine with dinner, watch a foreign film afterwards, and then go to sleep. In the middle of the night my memory is stimulated and when I wake up in the morning, I have an idea to write about. I believe I think the best when I sleep.

Reality to me is more full of horror than any fictional story:
I am in Connecticut this summer, and last week in my small town, we had a tornado strike us. After the 2-hour winds of 100 mph, a friend of mine left her house in her car and a tree fell on her car. She was in the car and killed instantly.

I would love to travel to Greece, Turkey and Malta and visit all the spots that Ulysses visited in Homer’s The Odyssey.

You can create a better world that is expressed in your Art and you can share this vision with others.

To write for yourself. To write what is true deep inside you. To give yourself pleasure in the act of creating and believe that you will also give pleasure to others.

I have recently completed Transylvanian Trilogy: The Gift of Diamonds, Love Odyssey and Treasure Hunt. I am working on an audio book, The Making of a Novel, in which I mix music, photography and text to create a new way of hearing, seeing and reading a book. Memory Chest takes 14 scenes from my life that have inspired scenes I intersperse in my Trilogy.

I got inspired to write when I was recovering from a fatal cancer. I wanted to survive. The only control I had was to write. To use Art as a catharsis and salvation. Art had to give me Hope. Hope that the stories of my life and mind would one day be read by others. Hope to inspire others that Life has secrets that must be lived. To find these Truths is the answer to survive.

I reached into my memory of my past experiences and found the treasure of a world of material for my readers. I have had the privilege of living a full life. In my Transylvanian Trilogy, I have mixed my past with my present, political facts with fiction, the real with the imaginary, the dreams with the obvious, all together to create a different genre of literature and make reading become more alive.
