Gerri LeClerc I have to say, it hasn't been a problem for me. One thing I learned in the classes, books and conferences was to riff. Take a sheet of paper and write something about your book problem. Then jot down every single thing that comes into your head. Write as long as the words flow. I'll guarantee, one of those thoughts will get you back on track.
Gerri LeClerc Easy one! Being a writer is the best thing. I worked in many fields of nursing over the years. When I began to think of myself as a writer, it was the most wonderful feeling. I take that to mean I am doing what I was meant to do. Holding the first copy of Missing Emily was Nirvana. And seeing people actually buy the book . . . this author is out of words.
Gerri LeClerc It's a little soon to answer this question, since Missing Emily is my first self-published book. One thing I keep hearing is that only about 20 percent of those who want to write a book, finish one. So, persevere is my advice. And accept the help of the amazing people who come into your life to help you achieve your goal.
Gerri LeClerc Silent Grace. The second book in the Knoll Cottage series. It's completed but I will revise it several thousand more times before it's ready to publish. Also, I'm about halfway through the third novel in the series, working title, Finding Alice.
Gerri LeClerc I am an RN. I believe in cathartic writing. When my daughter and her adorable family moved far away, I wrote, wrote, wrote. Then I said, "This is fun!" That was eleven years ago. I'm still writing.
Gerri LeClerc I read an article about the difficulty of finding bone marrow donors for children. I asked myself, how far would a mother go to save her daughter's life?
