My last name. There's a real story there, and I do hope to write about it one day. Imagine you found out your grandmother, father, and his siblings all had their names legally changed. Then you found out why...

Hi Mary, sadly as of right now Moira and Jess will not be getting their own story. That said, there is always the possibility that could change in the future. When I wrote them in to Burnout, it was my thought that they could be the hero and heroine for a future story. Perhaps one day...

Tough question, there are so many great fictional couples, it's hard to choose! I always loved Buffy and Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Talk about a couple with issues! Then again, as twisted as it was, I also loved Buffy and Spike on the same show. Go figure. But one of my all-time faves is little known. James Bond was married very briefly, in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, to Teresa Draco. Sadly, Teresa was gunned down by the evil Russian general, Rosa Kleb. Bond's wife's murder is partly what made him who he is. A womanizer, no doubt, but a tortured soul to be sure.

I wouldn't say that I've ever had writer's block. Although, sometimes I find it hard to find the time to write, as I work full-time. I'm often up writing until midnight, then get up at 5AM to go to my "other" job. But since I love writing so much, I don't mind. It's a labor of love.

Mostly, my ideas just come to me at odd times. I could be watching a movie or a TV show, and come up with a spin on some tiny aspect of the show I just watched. Or I might come up with an idea because of something I read about on the news, or something that happens at work. I see something in nature that gives me a cool idea, or something in my parents' past, such that the book could have links to a noteworthy even in their history 50 years ago.

Without a doubt, the best thing about being a writer is putting my ideas in print and then hearing that readers love them! Trust me, there is nothing like seeing your first book cover come out, followed by your first 5-star review. I come up with all sorts of plots and characters for future stories, some of them inspired by real life, and some come pouring out of my vivid imagination.

My best advice is don't give up!! It's so true that you will receive many rejections when submitting to an agent or editor, but you will learn in the process and each story you write will get better and better! Seriously, don't give up! No matter what anyone says!!

I just finished a draft of Book 2 of my NYPD Blue & Gold Series, entitled Blood Money. Shortly, I'll be starting Book 3 of the series, yet to be titled.

That's an easy question to answer! Like many people, I've gone through changes in my life that led me to consider another line of work. I love the investigative aspects of law enforcement and it comes naturally to me, but I often dream of doing something completely different and my love of cooking is definitely one of those things! Being creative in the kitchen and making something that I see other people enjoy makes me happy.
