I absolutely adored 'The Last Holiday'. The friendship dynamics felt so real and I felt like I was right there when it all started to fall apart. Can I ask if there's any books in particular that inspired this?

I love camping, so I think this book was probably inevitable!
There was no book in particular that inspired this - oddly this book was the one that I planned the least. As I wrote it, the story just seemed to develop in its own direction - although, I knew who the killer was going to be from page one!

Thank you so much for "The Beach Party" - I adored it and it got me through some bad nights when down with a nasty bug. I see you are already working on another Cornish thriller - Hurrah! My question is simple ... any idea of when it will be in the shops (as I cannot wait!) ?

Amy Sheppard I'm halfway through another psychological thriller set in Cornwall! I'm so excited about it, my fingers literally can't type fast enough 😆

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Amy Sheppard Be obsessed!
Be obsessed with your story and your characters. Think about them wherever you are. They'll become like real people. It makes it so much easier when you finally get to the typing part!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Amy Sheppard The total freedom you have! They're your characters. Their fate, backstory, journey...can be whatever you want it to be. It's like getting to know lots of new people! Also, I'm a total introvert, so working from home is wonderful!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Amy Sheppard I'm a procrastinator and very easily distracted! I always write at the beginning of the day and set myself a time to complete x amount of words. Every writer is different, but for me, if I'm stuck, I know the story isn't going in the direction I want it to. I pull back and look at the options again.
