Any chance Crime Lords 5 and 6 is near completion?

Mia Knight Hi Mary,

I had around 45k words on book 5, but when I looked it over recently, I knew I had to scrap most of it. The words didn't flow and I could tell I wasn't 100% focused when I wrote it because it meandered all over the place and wasn't moving forward at the pace I wanted it to. So, I started over.

I'm happy to report that now I'm on the right track! I just needed to be in the right mindset. Now that I am, I'm hoping the process will go by quickly! Once the first draft of book 6 is done, I should have pre-order and release dates for both at that time...

I still have a ways to go, but I will be updating you all as soon as I can and hope a release date isn't too far in the future!

Mia Knight Hi! Yes, I have a ton of ideas for different series, but I'm going to focus on putting out books in the Crime Lord Series and completing the Singed Series before moving onto something new. :)

Hey Mia, I was wondering if you are considering making your books into audiobooks? I don't know what that process entails at all but I keep checking amazon to see if that option is available for your books and I decided to just ask you. I love this series. I want to be able to listen to it too.

Hi Mia, I'm a huge fan of yours. I wanted to ask you that did it ever occur to you that you might write a 0.5th book of the Crime Lord Series? I really really want to read how Gavin and Lyla met.

Bravo, Mia Knight! Greeting from New Zealand. I'm your new fan. I couldn't put your book away and it ruins my reading schedules (I've set of books to read you see) and my sleep too. The category for your book rather baffles me, it's not as dark/erotica as the category suggests, I think it's more like suspense/thriller? Great job though.

Mia Knight Hi Laila and thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed! Yes, the series is categorized in contemporary/suspense and sometimes dark romance. It kind of straddles the line. Not dark enough to have warnings and not clean enough to be considered a straight up suspense or contemporary. Sometimes it gets put into dark and that's fine with me since it's not a safe read and I get complaints from those who aren't ready for the darker elements.

Hi Mia, I LOVED your Crime Lord Series!! I was wondering do you ever write snippets from different POV's from the books you've already written? For example I'm dying to read from Gavin's POV in the last book when he comes to the hospital and Lyla flips out. I so want to know what was going through his head when she turns to her bodyguard to get away from him. I loved it. I loved everything about this series.

Mia Knight Hi Kristy! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed the series! I actually read your reviews and loved them as well. I love reading a thorough, comprehensive review. As for different POVs... I will write the prequel eventually. From their first meet to him finding her again. I'm playing around with the idea of writing Crime Lord's Captive from Gavin's POV... That hospital scene in particular would be interesting from Gavin's POV. Maybe I'll write it in future ;) At the moment, I'm deep in Carmen's story and have released sneak peeks of her book and a scene from the prequel in my FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/miakn.... So after reading the little POVs of first meetings and Manny's decision to let Gavin find Lyla, I find myself curious about how they all got started. Not to put more work on your plate - because I'm shocked at how much I've enjoyed these books and how much time I spend searching for an update of the newest book - but have you considered making that kind of a prequel?

Mia Knight Yes, I have considered doing a prequel. I get asked this question quite often. I figure I will do it eventually but want to give the other character's their stories first. Hi. May I know if you plan on continuing the series with series with other characters stories? I would love if Angel and Blade could get their own stories.

Mia Knight Yes, the series does continue, Carmen's book is next and Angel and Blade (among other characters) will get stories within the Crime Lord Series as well.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Mia Knight It has to be the Harry Potter world. I would walk down Diagon Alley, gawking and trying to buy everything in sight.

Mia Knight Haha. I want to write a book about Nora, but that will have to be after the ones I've committed to already: Blade, Carmen, the Roman brothers, Eli Stark, etc. Nora has a lot of growing up to do but I already have an idea of how I want her story to go. Never fear ;)

Just finished the Crime Lord series and I want more! I sure hope you are planning to write more, so many of the side characters need a book of their own. Do you plan more books in this series?

I am currently writing Carmen's book and I recently announced that I will be writing books for (in no particular order): Marcus, Blade, Raul, Roque, Angel (Roman brothers), Lucifer & Eli Stark. I am also thinking about a story for a grown up Nora, but it's still percolating so... I'll be busy for years, I'm sure. Haha.

What type of research do you do before writing about worlds we 'normal' folks can only dream of?

Mia Knight I research everything from police procedures to the terms for tricks that strippers do on poles. It just depends what I'm writing :)

Hello, so I'm turning 55 on April 13 and was hoping that Crime Lord #3 will be released soon? Please, I have read the other 2 books twice and left reviews galore Please for my 55th sure would be nice 🎉🎊🎂😁

Mia Knight Hi Mindy, the book will be released soon. Thank you for leaving reviews. It won't be out in time for your 55 birthday (Happy early Birthday!) but it will be out before the end of the month.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - these Characters! I hate it when I get hooked on a story then find out I have to wait for the ending (drives me crazy) - I hope you make another series about Marcus and Carmen! ;) Mia- YOU are doing a wonderful job - you should be very proud of yourself, the characters and the story line.?

I know you mentioned in your book that crime lord #3 is coming in early 2017. Any chance we talking January or February 2017? You have me hooked on Lyla and Gavin story! Keep up the good work!

I am currently writing the 3rd book so I won't have a release date until I'm finished. I think it's more likely that the book will come out in March 2017 but I will keep you all posted!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mia Knight I was actually in the middle of writing a different series when Gavin popped out of nowhere and stole the show. I knew he was completely wrong for the series I was writing so I created another series for him and Crime Lord's Captive was born.
