Once I saw a ghost. No kidding. I was at a museum in Los Angeles and saw his reflection in the glass covering an exhibit I was looking at. It was a man, and he was smiling at me. I moved over to make room for him to see the exhibit too, and when I turned around, he wasn't there. Who was he? Why was he smiling at me? (I know it sounds nuts, but I was with a friend and she noticed him too, but it turns out we were the only two people in the whole room.)

There IS a sequel in the works for Starcaster! It's going to be just a two-book series. A duology, as you said! :-)

Okay, it's not going to be released *soon* but it WILL be released. I'm sorry to be so slow with it! I've been having to write it around other projects but I promise you I am writing it!

Yes! There is totally a sequel to Starcaster, and I swear I AM writing it!! I got really slowed down with other projects, but the book is entirely plotted out and I'm just plugging along at this point. I'm so happy you loved Ember's story; I do too. And it gets even better, I promise!

Love your writing. I mean, LOVE IT. If you're not in love with the story you're creating, no one else will be, either. And don't be too tough on yourself as you write...mistakes happen. Plots end up surprising you, characters end up surprising you. All of it is part of the journey. Don't be afraid to let things get messy in the creative process.

I think about my mortgage, lol. Seriously, inspiration is never an issue with me. I have so many stories rattling around in my head that I'm never really far from them. I love writing, and I love telling stories, so my actual problem is finding the hours to just sit and concentrate on getting my ideas to the page.
