M.C. Glan I kept thinking about this, and I can't get my two characters in the fantasy book I'm writing out of my mind. They are complete opposites; one represents the light, the other the dark, as a yin/yang energy. They argue but they learn a lot from each other, and this is a cathartic experience for both of them...
M.C. Glan I experienced that with one chapter in Midnight on Mars. I wrote the story in chapters, but not always in order. So I had the first half of the story completed, and a couple chapters near the end, but I just couldn't seem to bridge them together. So I left that one chapter alone, wrote the rest, and by the time I was done, I was able to go back and do that one. (It'll eventually come to you, just give it time and move onto something else - another writing project or chore - until it does. You might even be doing something like the dishes and suddenly you've figured it out).
M.C. Glan Creating worlds, characters, and ideas for readers. (And if I could do it full-time, I would be the happiest person in the world).
M.C. Glan Always keep a notepad on you, because you never know when that best idea or line will pop up! I've kicked myself a few times for not doing this.
Also: if you really love to write, keep pursuing it no matter what your circumstances are or what people say to you, if you absolutely love it, then you were born to do it!
M.C. Glan I started a project that would be considered epic fantasy. It will be at least a trilogy.
M.C. Glan Honestly, it doesn't take much; I could write anywhere, all of the time, if I could. That's why I'm hoping to one day be able to do this full-time.
M.C. Glan I've always been fascinated with science, and a couple years ago I saw something on the news about Mars. At the same time, I was studying basic astrology. So a light bulb went off in my head and I thought, hey, how could these two worlds of knowledge come together in a story? And from there, Midnight on Mars was born.
