I am about 60% in The Lost Kings and it is so so good! You have an amazing writingstyle, because I am very much hooked :) Do you have Instagram? I have a Bookstagram and would love to promote you and your book on it! Jeanie is such a fascinating woman. If you keep this up till the end, i'll definitely pick up The Wolves of Winter if I can get my hands on it!

almost done the wolves of winter and wow its amazing my question is why is the book based of in alaska i mean like why does the flu kill everyone wouldn't it just make you sick and then you would get over it?
Tyrell Johnson The idea is that this is a particularly horrible strain of the flu—like H1N1 on steroids—and that there is no cure or vaccine or treatment that science could come up with in time.

Hi Tyrelll currently reading the wolves of winter and i'm loving it question though why does Gwendolynn always seem so mad like you said they moved from new york she just don't seem happy through the whole book thats what im wondering?

I think Lynn just has a lot of angst over the loss of her father and her way of life. She’s also not satisfied with her current situation—she’s looking for something more.

Just read "The Wolves of Winter" and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great read! Loved the strong female main character and would love to read a sequel to see where life takes them next. Any chances of a sequel or a movie based on this book?

I just wanted to comment that I loved your book; I couldn't put it down! I tried (and failed) to take my time reading it, just to make it last a bit longer! I thought all the characters were interesting and would love to find out more about them. If you write another in this series, do you think we might get some more flashbacks into Lynn's family's past?

Most entertaining book I have read this year. Like others, I am hoping for a sequel. Any chance we might see this story into a movie?

Hi Mr. Johnson. What made you decide to set "The Wolves of Winter" in Canada versus, say the northwest of the USA like Alaska, Washington, or Oregon, or the eastern most part of Maine? Just curious - I am Canadian; my deceased husband was from Maine. The northeastern most part of Maine along the Quebec/New Brunswick border is bone-chillingly cold in the winter, and there's never a lack of snow!
Tyrell Johnson Hi Elinor, I knew I wanted it set in a snowy, northern landscape. I also wanted it to be set in an area of wilderness where my characters would be utterly displaced from civilization. And since the population of the entire Yukon is something like 35,000 people, there was a lot of wilderness where I could displace them. Not to mention I live in BC and the Yukon is our northern neighbors. It just seemed to fit.

Not a question, more like a comment. I wanted to say that I just finished the book, couldn't put it down and took me only three days just while riding the TTC. I hope we get to see more of Lynn; she's a great character, think you might do a tour of the book? Maybe reveal that it's a sequel in the making?
Tyrell Johnson Thanks Gaby! So glad you liked it. I'm doing a few events in Seattle and Bellingham. Then I'll be in Toronto Jan 23-26. The plan is to do a sequel, but nothing is written in stone yet, so we'll see!
