Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Heather Hackett I lived this story. And while I lived it, I wrote prolific letters home and kept several journals. The rest came right out of my memories and the more I wrote, the more I remembered. It was like reliving the past.

How do you get inspired to write?
Heather Hackett For some strange reason, the best ideas always come to me in the shower. As soon as they invent a waterproof laptop, I'll be set.
