I really try to enjoy whatever it is I'm working on, so if the writer's block is born out of general frustration with the subject I'll just simply move on and tackle something else. If it's something I know I need to write, frustrations notwithstanding, I'll let my first impulses (or any impulses really) guide me. Sometimes that means the writing's really crappy, but if I can find the raw thread I want to go with then it's worth it.
