Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Deborah Blumenthal A DIFFERENT ME was by inspired by all the painful issues that teens have to deal with when they're growing up. For me it was a really trying time and that has always stayed with me. I was also a beauty writer, so I spent a lot of time thinking about self-acceptance issues. I hope that the book helps girls deal with all their uncertainties about who they are and what they look like.
