As a non fiction author, I tend to enjoy reading mainly non-fiction, true life spiritual reads. As a practical earth loving taurean I also love reading anything about gardening, which mainly is in the non-fiction area too. I suppose for fictional books anywhere comfortable and cosy in an old English country landscape settings like in 'Pride and Prejudice' would be great, as long as one was reasonably well off, where one had the time to contemplate and enjoy life, and not be one of the servant class, which would be less enjoyable!

My most recent book 'The Year of Talking To Plants' was inspired by me suddenly discovering I could talk to plants and they answered back! This was all I needed to start documenting my journey into the consciousness of plants and later on the world of the fairies.

As soon as I moved to the country I was prompted by my guides and angels to write about my garden and the experiences I had there. I previously had no aspirations to write at all! Moving closer to nature and being surrounded by it every day, was my inspiration and my muse. Nature wanted me to talk about her!

I am currently working on a new book (non-fiction) about plant fairies, delving deeper into the world of the fairies. Featuring more fascinating fairy quotes!

My advice to aspiring writers is to just write. Get anything down, you can always correct it and edit it later or even delete it. However the first step is to just to fill the blank page with writing, just be you, talk about what you are interested in.
Start talking to your audience. Pretend you have an audience already and they are waiting with baited-breath to hear what you have to say. So pretending that what you have to say is important and that you already have an audience waiting for you, is a great way to get yourself moving as an author. Have faith in yourself and believe you have what it takes, because in reality you do!

I would have to say freedom of expression. When I am on a roll with my writing, for me it feels like I am flying! Total freedom and joy. I am doing what I am meant to be doing, in the way I am meant to be doing it.

Hi, I would have to say I don't really get writer's block as such! I am often brimming with inspiration! It's just a matter of getting the information down in an organized form, rather than lots of steams of consciousness so-to-speak. Cohesiveness is what I am thinking of, which may be an issue with spiritual channeled works such as mine. Or with so many ideas bobbing around, which one to focus on first?
