Linsey Davis Don’t wait for a big epiphany or revelation. If you want to write then write!
Linsey Davis I don’t pressure myself to write anything all at once. I keep coming back to it. Sometimes I just jot a single word or cluster of thoughts. Sometimes the ideas are there and sometimes they are not. No pressure. They will come.
Linsey Davis My son is almost 5 now. We read books to him every night. I have always been a writer and storyteller, but it nice I had him, he inspired me to write my first children’s book, and then that became a bestseller. So I decided to write another one!
Linsey Davis People often say that children don’t see color. I don’t believe that. They do see color, they just don’t assign a value to it. That’s me way I think adults could learn a lot from children. My goal with this book is to encourage children to embrace what makes us different but celebrate what we have in common and the idea that we are more alike than different. At this time, when our country is so divided, it just felt like the right message and certainly one I want my son to hear.
