(view spoiler)[Yay! so glad to hear there are more justice theology nerds out there! Some of my biggest influences are-
Jewish thinkers- Eliezer Berkovits (The Biblical Idea of Justice in "Essential Essays on Judaism is excellent) and Moshe Weinfeld ("Social Justice in Ancient Israel and in the Ancient Near East" is an incredible resource)
Old Testament- John Goldingay (you can listen to a lot of his Fuller Seminary classes for free on iTunes U), Walter Brueggemann, and Leon Morris' The Biblical Doctrine of Judgment.
New Testament- Christopher Marshall's "Beyond Retribution: A New Testament Vision for Justice, Crime, and Punishment", Nicholas Wolterstorff's "Justice: Rights and Wrongs", George Eldon Ladd's work on the Kingdom of God.
Contemporary-ish thinkers: Leo Tolstoy, Howard Thurman, MLK Jr
Theological resources: Anchor Bible Dictionary, United Bible Societies' translators handbook...
Hmmm... I think that's it for now, but I probably will think of a million more later. (hide spoiler)]

I don't specifically address immigration, or any other current issue. Unfortunately, there aren't that many biblically-based books on immigration. One of the best I've seen "Welcoming the Stranger" by Hwang and Soerens, published by Intervarsity Press. It goes through a lot of Bible passages on the topic, and has some nerdy data, too.
