Laura Branchflower Hi Berenice -- Yes! When I remember to look. The blog had been quiet for a while, but I have just gone and answered pending questions. Sorry for the delay -- Best, Laura
Laura Branchflower Hi Liza!
I wish I had better news, but I've been working (my day job) so much I haven't had time to finish anything. I have several plots running around in my head, plus several partially written stories. I hope to get busy soon. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the question and sorry I missed the early one. I'm not great with Goodreads. Shoot me an email at laurabranchflower@gmail.com any time. I check that daily.
Safe safe -- Laura
Laura Branchflower I'm sorry, Liza! I thought I had answered this questions. I'm taking a little break -- real life has gotten in the way. I hope to start again soon and finish before the end of the year.

Laura Branchflower Hi Lizzie!
Actually in the first version of White Picket Fence Phil explained to Lina the circumstances leading up to him taking Kim to the vacation scene -- unfortunately, it was edited out. Because I knew the truth, I didn't realize how important it was to let the readers know the truth -- that's why I fixed it in Swimming Naked. So yes, originally it was my intention to explain it in White Picket Fence.
Laura Branchflower I'm sorry Liza! I didn't get the notification for these questions -- ugh.
Life has gotten in the way of my writing lately, so everything is moving slower than expected. And yes, the next one will be the female attorney in Tony's firm. I hope to have something by late fall -- I'll update when I can. Thanks for the question and sorry for taking so long to respond.
Laura Branchflower I wanted to write a story where a couple survived infidelity -- leaving is easier. I think it takes a great deal of strength to forgive an affair. I don't agree that Lina was a doormat. She was a woman who wanted to save her family. They were together twenty five years -- that's a lot of history. And Phil while a selfish character did show remorse -- at least in my mind he did. I clearly didn't convey it enough for some readers. When I'm writing a novel I have a general idea where I'm going, but then the characters kind of write themselves. I would have loved to make Phil grovel but it wouldn't have been authentic to his character. The anger his demonstrates throughout the novel is because he is upset with himself -- yes he lashes out at others, but in my experience that's how people often act when they are angry -- they project their feelings on others.

Laura Branchflower Hi Miri! Thanks for the post. I was haunted by them too -- believe me. Phil is a good guy that did a very bad thing -- it's hard to reconcile. I think living with what he did will cause him a low level of suffering for the rest of his life -- he isn't the type of H that would grovel or show too much of his emotion, but he's ashamed of himself. He's definitely my most complex character I've written. I don't know exactly when the next book will come out -- sometimes I'm half way done with one and have the urge to write another -- eventually I finish them all. I haven't completely decided if the next one is Lucas Roe -- a QB book I mentioned on my website or another that's floating around in my mind. I'm glad you enjoyed the stories -- makes me happy!
Laura Branchflower Hi Liza!
I don't have a date yet. Researching the life of an NFL player takes a bit more time than I realized. I'll let you know when I know! Thanks for asking!

Laura Branchflower Yes! Liam will make a great Hero, better even than Logan because he will undoubtedly have some issues. Can't wait to write it!

Laura Branchflower Thanks Lizzie!
And thanks for the nice review -- much appreciated!
I'm currently one third of the way through the Lucas Roe (QB) story. It's funny and has lots of angst. I'm enjoying the journey lol. The heroine is a lawyer at Tony Prossi's firm, so we will see how Tony and Casey and Lina and Joseph are doing.
Laura Branchflower Hi Fanny!
It will be released by January 18th -- hopefully sooner. It may be as early as Wednesday. My blog always has the latest information, but I will update Goodreads and Facebook as well.
I'm already one hundred pages in to the Lucas Roe novel so he will be next -- then back to the Prossi's.
Thanks for asking!
Laura Branchflower Hi Fanny! Thanks for reaching out. I have finished Swimming Naked and it is now with my editor. As soon as I receive it back from her I'll know the exact date. Depending on her turnaround the publishing date may slip to January but I will put out a date as soon as I have one. I've been releasing sneak previews on my blog if you're interested. http://laurabranchflower.com/blog/
All my best,
Laura
Laura Branchflower Thank you, Fanny!
I will be releasing a Swimming Naked (a sequel to A White Picket Fence) in December. Tony and Casey will be popping up in future books, I'm sure.

Thanks again for reaching out!

Laura Branchflower Hi Liza!
Thank you so much! I love receiving feedback from readers. Which book was your favorite? I'm currently working on two -- a sequel to A White Picket and a lighter romance (you can read the first chapter on my website).
Thanks again for the nice words!
Laura
