I fear, though I have lived an interesting and at times exciting life, my personal life has few mystery stories. Some of the people I’ve met are mysteries in themselves. Those are the ones who make for an interesting character in a book.

Yes, they are. Same story from two different publishers. Don't buy both. They are both good books, but with slightly different endings. The U.S. publisher wanted an epilogue. The U.K. publisher was satisfied with the original ending.

My daughter gave me the DVD True Detective - season one. Having been a cop/federal agent for 37 years, I found it one of the few shows that even bordered on realism. It inspired me to write Wormwood. The setting, characters, and plot, in my story are completely different, but the theme is the same - dark, twisted, and very realistic as to actual police investigative procedure.

I really don't have an answer. It just comes naturally. I've always been a great story teller. Perhaps one day I'll be a great writer. Only time and my readers will determine that.
