Susan Donovan Hi Karla,
Thanks so much for the note and for enjoying my novels! Unfortunately, there are no plans to do audio recordings of my backlist at this time. Who knows what the future will bring, so stop by my website once in awhile to see if that changes. Take care, and happy reading!

Susan Donovan Hi Keri!
Thanks for the question. I am happy to report that the answer is 'yes.' UNWRAPPING TAFFY is coming out sometime early next year from St. Martin's Press. It's Tanyalee's story, and it's a doozy. :) The book has been delayed over three years due to my illness and recovery, but I'm glad it will finally see the light of day. I'll post the release date on my website (www.susandonovan.com) as soon as I get any news. Happy reading,
Susan
Susan Donovan Hi Silke,
Thank you so much for loving TAKE A CHANCE ON ME. I am aware of the listing issues and am trying to consolodate all my books on Goodreads. Something isn't quite right with my account and it's taking awhile. I'm on it! Keep in touch . . . .

Susan Donovan I always answer this question the same way: My ideas come from nowhere and everywhere, no one and everyone, no particular day and every day of my life. I am always swimming in a sea of ideas. The challenge is to pick the one that sparks something in me and that I can carry to completion.
Susan Donovan It's always been a hit-or-miss process for me. All or nothing! I can get attacked by the need to start a new story or continue my work-in-progress and the drive cannot be ignored. Or, my mind goes blank and I stare off into space.

I wish I were a more balanced human being.

Susan Donovan You don't have to write the whole book in one sitting. Novels are written in pieces -- one page a day, one scene a day, or one paragraph a day. Have you been wanting to write a novel since you were fourteen and you're now fifty-four? Here's the remarkable truth: if you write just one page a day you will have the first draft of a novel in a year. Not bad.
Susan Donovan I earn a living with my imagination and I get to watch my stories come to life. I wouldn't want to do anything else, which is good because I think I've become so eccentric that I'm no longer employable in the real world.
Susan Donovan Clean the house. Play with my dog. Nap. Do something else creative, like sing, paint, draw, or do impromptu crafts. Or bitch and moan to a writer friend. Sometimes, the writer's block is so bad that I have to do all of them.
