Hi Samantha. At the moment, over here in the UK, we can only get an audiobook version of 'Sleeping Dogs Lie'. Have you any plans on bringing out a kindle version of it in future?
Samantha Downing Not at the moment...just the audiobook for now!

How do you get inspired to write?
Samantha Downing I don't. I write because I love it. Inspiration comes as I'm writing. One idea fuels the next, and the next, and the next.

As you can tell, I don't do a lot of outlining!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Samantha Downing The original idea came from a documentary I watched ... but I can't say more than that without giving too much away!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Samantha Downing The best thing I ever did was join a critique group. I was lucky enough to find a group of very honest, hard-working writers who take their work seriously. Best of all, they don't hold back!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Samantha Downing Many times, I write through it. I may not be writing well, or writing anything that will be used in a book, but eventually I'll get to something I like.

Or, I take a nap.
