Sorry for a very late answer. I've been really focused on writing my next book, which now is finally finished (due 14 of February in Sweden). As for your question: Obviously there are a lot of brilliant writers, but if I have to name just a few it would be Gillian Flynn, Sjöwall & Wahlöö and Kepler. I think.

My best inspiration comes when biking to work, listening to a novel on my iPhone. I think it's the distraction from the story, the physical effort and the city around me, that let me see the ideas in the corner of my eye.

For many years I've collected news articles about crime, ruthless violence or sentences that for some reason was upsetting to me. Then, when I was riding my bike to work, I started playing with the idea of a serial killer based on these stories. That was the beginning of Offrens offer.
