I get inspired to write from having like a movie reel always going in my head. I see the story in my head all the time. While I drive, while I'm in the shower, or washing dishes, the characters are always there wanting me to tell their stories. I love it.

I deal with writer's block by listening to music. As soon as I start listening to the beat and the rhythm, my muse wakes up and tells me to get writing!

I've always loved books set on a beach. It helps, that it's winter and it's below freezing temps with ice and snow everywhere--to escape to the beautiful, Shimmer Pointe Beach which is where this series is set. I got the idea for Shimmer Pointe from visiting Rehoboth Beach when I was 16. We stayed in my best friend's aunts beach house and walked to the beach and the boardwalk. It was a great place and has always left a lasting impression on me. I hope to return in the near future :)

I am currently working on Book 2 in the Shimmer Pointe Romance Series, "Bad At Love" This book will pick up with Eve and Justin, who are first introduced in Book 1 "The Beach House" Eve is so outspoken and feisty. Justin lives in the moment, one day at a time. He doesn't like to be tied down and he likes to party. Eve & Justin are enjoying a 'no strings attached' romance until one day a surprise lands on Justin's doorstep which forces them to re-evaluate their relationship. Can these two wild spirits let love tame them? Can they let go of dual reputations at being "Bad At Love" ?

My advice for aspiring writers is TO NEVER GIVE UP! Being an author isn't easy.
It is easy to get overwhelmed and think your work/writing isn't good enough. But you must overcome these thoughts and get your work out in front of readers, whether that is beta readers or a wider audience.

The best thing about being a writer is that you can take off into any fantastical world at anytime and be anyone you want to be. It's a great creative escape that allows you to bring great characters and stories alive. I love it. There's no greater satisfaction that completing a book and sending it out into the world for others to enjoy.
