I'm so glad you liked the twist! It was my favorite part to write and, actually, one of the only things that never changed from the first draft to the final draft. It was all of the stuff leading up to the twist that had to be reworked a million times to make it work.

Yes, it’s a stand-alone! When your main character is a poisoner, there aren’t many characters left standing by the end, which makes a sequel rather difficult ;)
