What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Terri Reed I'm currently reading Personal Protection by Julie Miller, Wander Canyon Courtship by Allie Plieter and The Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare.

Hey, I am a huge fan of your work. I spend a lot of time reading, but I write as well. Can you give me some pointers on how to get a publisher to look at my work. I have written two of three part series children's books (Christian Fiction). I really can't afford to self publish and vanity publisher seem to respond more then others. Any other ideas?
Terri Reed Hi Evette, I don't know much about the children's books industry. I look at who publishers books that are similar to what you're writing and then look at the publishers website for their submission guidelines. You might search for a local writing groups in your area for support, encouragement and information.

I very much like most of your books especially Duty Bound Guardian. But why did you make Angela Carlucci in Covert Pursuit such a bull-headed determined weak fool? She makes women look like idiots. A strong woman listens and uses common sense not bullheadedness. Besides she's a policewoman and should know better than to interfere once she knew it was an undercover investigation. She should have been disciplined.
Terri Reed Hi Jean, thank you for writing and I'm happy to hear you mostly like my books. As for Angela, well, if I'd stuck totally to reality there would have been no book. Alas that is the quandary when writing fiction.

what is the best way to write novels on romance?
Terri Reed Hi Ronnie, there are many great books out there that walk through plotting and character development. My favorites are The Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler, Goal, Motivation and Conflict by Deb Dixon and a new one that I just bought, Romancing the Beats b Gwen Hayes.

Terri Reed Hi Ronnie, I don't include love scenes in my books so I am not able to answer this question of you.

What's the most romantic line you've ever read?
Terri Reed Oh wow, that's a hard question. I can't think of a single line, more like entire pages. LOL. The most romantic declaration of love I've read recently came from Lisa Kleypas' Cold-Heart Rake. Pg 379. Devon give Kathleen a pocket watch and tells her he's giving her time. I teared up when I read that.

Do you believe in soul mates? Do you have one?
Terri Reed I'm not sure about soul mates. I do believe we all have the ability to connect with others on a deep level and that bond can be strong and unbreakable when both people choose to commit to the other.
