The best thing about being a writer is the places it takes me, and the worlds I create. As I write, the characters in my stories come alive in ways I had not expected, they go and do things I had never imagined. At times I might add in a new character thinking that he or she is just a passing moment, and then that character becomes a significant figure. If you have read “Earth Magic,” Kayno is like that. I had no idea how important he was to become. I rarely know where my story is going until I get to the end. I love the mystery, and I love finding where my mind will take me. Writing is an adventure. It is pure joy.

I am presently working on book three of my trilogy; "The High King of Kambrya". Book two of the trilogy, "Earth Song", is now with my editor and hopefully will be released soon. I am also starting to think about my next books. My next set of books might actually come out of "The High King of Kambrya" trilogy and I don't want to give away any spoilers.

For me, I write; even if it is junk and I have to rewrite it later. Usually, my first draft is horrible. So my first step is to write out a chapter and not worry if it is any good. Then I rewrite it. Sometimes I'll revise a section ten times or more. By the time I am finally happy with a chapter, it might not look anything like the first version. The plot line can be completely different from where I started.
