I can't say too much yet, but I'm currently working on another queer new adult romcom that involves two girls falling in love under extremely unlikely circumstances which may or may not involve some light romcom-style time travel.

RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE was born out of a time in my life when I was following the 2016 presidential campaign closely while also reading two books at the same time: THE ROYAL WE and Carl Bernstein's Hillary Clinton biography. I had these two characters in my head that I really wanted to write: a subversion of the bland Prince Charming archetype who just passes himself off as milquetoast to hide things going on under the surface, and a rebellious First Kid who both love politics and is political nightmare for their presidential parent.
And then one day, as I was driving to work, it hit me: if I made those two characters fall in love with each other, I could tell both of their stories in one book. And here we are!

Never stop reading, but take writing breaks when you feel yourself burning out. And always put shoes on when you want to get something finished. Even if you're working from home—shoes on!
