Cody Allen Cole I'm not sure. I remember I was working and it was around 3 am. I just had an idea and thought it would be a simple, short story. I was wrong.
Cody Allen Cole I read "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. Then I read "The Wise Man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss and all I could think after, was I want to do that.
Cody Allen Cole The final edits of 44 Days. I also have a couple of other half-baked ideas written down. There's a fantasy world I've been building for years now. I will eventually write a set of novels based in that world.
Cody Allen Cole Don't stop in the middle. Make sure, even if you hate the project you are working on, to finish it. I got that advice from reading an interview with Neil Gaiman.
Cody Allen Cole Being the only person in existence that knows all of the inner workings of whatever particular story you are writing. It's great to have that "I know something you don't know" feeling.
Cody Allen Cole I don't believe writer's block is real. I think that, sometimes, its just hard to do things. Even the things we love. Sometimes powering through works and other times, I just have to walk away from whatever I'm working on for a little while.
