I go on walks. My mother is an interior designer and she has always told me that if you get stuck, you get up and move around for a while. For me, that means going on a walk and talking through the story. Sometimes you have to start from the middle or the end of the story and work backwards, asking yourself questions like, "Why?" and "What led to this?" If that doesn't work, I put it aside and think about something completely unrelated. Sounds silly, but sometimes you just have to turn your brain off and do something else.

I have two books written and in editing right now. They are both a part of the Refurbished Fairy Tales series. There is a third that I am plotting for that same series and I have another from a separate series I want to start working on soon. My brain never stops and I will just have bits and pieces of story stuck on repeat in my brain until I write them down.

As a kid, I was always making up stories. Most of the time, they were based on books, movies or TV shows and I would put myself in the middle of the action. I still do that now, to an extent, but more often I will think, "Hey, this would be interesting! What if..." And it goes from there

It is actually the prequel for another story that I am editing right now. The Salamander Prince was originally supposed to be a short story, but it sort of grew... a lot. As for the idea, it started as a small aside about another character's aunt and then rattled around in my brain for a while. I can't really describe it more than that.
