Back in the late nineties, some friends and I had a really interesting conversation about female fantasies. One of the big ones was "Hiring A Male Escort." Ironically, it wasn't a personal fantasy of mine, but I did think it would make a great, edgy idea for a story. My beliefs about sexual freedom have changed so much since, and because of, that novel. It was a milestone in my writing career.
