Usually an out of context sentence that makes my brain run away. Like a 'table made from water' - most people would look at you strangely, but for me, it drew a picture in my head and changed the shape of Lissae.

Music. I put the same song on repeat and just write and write until the block passes. Usually, it means lots of editing, but it's better than looking at a blank screen.
If I'm totally unable to write, then I create something else instead. I cosplay a bit, so at the moment, it's creating props and costumes when I get stuck in the book.

The first book in the Lissae series is a conglomeration of ideas that started with talking to friends about astral travel, having bad nightmares, and a comment about a 'table made from water' from a kids show. It turned into a magical fantasy world that I am delighted to play in.
